Aidan graduated in Civil Engineering from UMIST in 1979 and worked as a Chartered Structural Engineer before completing an MBA in International Business at the University of Ulster for which he received the Irish Management Institute’s Sir Charles Harvey award for post graduate education.

Following three successful years developing the Industrial Development Board’s operations in Korea, he returned to Northern Ireland in 1992 where he was responsible for a number of significant inward investment projects. 

Since 1995 Aidan has worked in the venture capital industry in Northern Ireland.  He is currently Chief Executive of Enterprise Equity Fund Management Ltd which makes investments in both early stage technology companies as well as more traditional businesses across Northern Ireland. 

Aidan is married with two children.
