Denis Rooney has just recently taken up the Chair, Ireland of White Young Green Plc, having been previously Chief Executive as major consultants to the built, natural and social environment.

Denis had been the founding partner of leading surveying practice DRA, which was acquired by White Young Green in 2004.

Denis is also the Chairman of the International Fund for Ireland, an international organisation established by the British and Irish Governments in 1986 with the objective of promoting economic and social advance and encouraging reconciliation throughout Ireland.

Denis is the immediate past chairman of the Institute of Directors Northern Ireland, a past member of the Northern Ireland Economic Development Forum, past chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Northern Ireland Branch, member of the Bank of England Advisory Committee and of the Northern Ireland Committee on Euro Preparations.

Denis believes strongly in the need for a cultural change in Northern Ireland to grow the private sector and also has a keen interest in business involvement in the community.  Married to Bernadette and with children Adrienne, Keith and Claire, his hobbies include golf, golf and golf!
