TITLE
INSTITUTE OF DIRECTORS: The Director Development Programme
(includes three modules of the IoD Company Direction Programme, that leads towards the IoD Diploma)

BACKGROUND: 
A programme of six optional modules split into two groups. 
Three modules, “Role of the Director & The Board”, “Strategic Business Direction” and “Finance for Non-Financial Directors” if taken together is known as “The Essential Director Programme”.  Participants will gain a vital introduction to the director’s legal duties and responsibilities, board dynamics, strategic models and thinking, an in-depth knowledge of financial terms and concepts.  (There are further modules available locally for those wishing to complete the full IoD Company Direction Programme and take the IoD Diploma examination)

The other three bursary-eligible modules are “Role of the Non-Executive Director”, “Getting the Best From Your Team” and “Transformational Leadership”   

The modules are all delivered by the IoD’s Regional Director Development Centre, operated on the IoD’s behalf by Director Development Ireland Ltd. 


 TARGET GROUP
Senior executives and potential directors wanting to develop their knowledge and skills.
Newly appointed directors wishing to increase their contribution to the board’s decisions.
Experienced directors wanting to bring best practice to their companies and perhaps take on non-executive director appointments.

CONTENT
Six optional modules, three of which – “Role of the Director and The Board”, “Strategic Business Direction” and “Finance for Non-Financial Directors” are, in expanded form, modules on the IoD Company Direction Programme

COST
If taken as one-off non-residential modules: £700 (+VAT) per two day module, £350 per one day module, IoD members get a discount of £50 (+VAT) per day
If taken on IoD Company Direction Programme: £1000 (+VAT) per residential module
