INTRO Programme

The INTRO Programme is an Entry-Into- Management level initiative designed to speed the development of young managers, thus helping them become more productive within their organisations. Impact at this level can generate real gains as Northern Ireland companies increasingly seek to perform more competitively.

Aimed at new trainee graduate managers (at degree/HND level), INTRO focuses on:
• Transforming them into the next generation of business professionals.
• Providing a broad perspective on business and management.
• Providing value and a measurable return on investment for the employers.

The costs?
The cost per participant is £4000.  Companies may apply for bursary support of £2,500 from the Department for Employment and Learning. Employers also pay an agreed salary to participants.  The programme lasts for 24 weeks covering:
• An initial four weeks off-the-job classroom training.
• 20 weeks on-the-job carrying out a business improvement project/ personal development plan.
• The opportunity to complete a professional management diploma.
