Mark  Ennis,
Chairman, The Management and Leadership Network



Mark is currently Chief Executive Officer of Airtricity NI, one of Northern Ireland's leading companies in the development, generation, and supply of green energy through windpower. He is also a main Board Director of the Holding Company based in RoI.  He is Non-Executive of: Sensor Technology and Devices (a university spinout company), Pharmapac UK Ltd (a pharmaceutical company). Previously Mark was CEO of Boxmore International Plc, one of Northern Ireland's most successful public companies, and Senior Vice President of Chesapeake Corporation a USA quoted packaging group. He also held Non-Executive Directorships with the Down Lisburn Trust and IRTU, and the Advisory Board of the Royal Mail in Northern Ireland.
 
Throughout his career Mark has had a close involvement with business organizations. He was Chairman of CBI for two years in 2000 and 2001. He is Chairman of the Management and Leadership Network (formally the Management Council), a position that has enabled to express his total belief that professional development makes a difference to the bottom line. Mark is also on the council of the IOD and the Chamber of Commerce.

Mark was an Economics Honours Graduate of The Queens University of Belfast, who bestowed a further honour on him when they awarded him their Graduate of the Year award in 2001 for services to industry. Practising what he preaches Mark gained an MBA from the Open University in 1992.

Mark is married to a very supportive wife Maureen and they have four great children: Laura, Richard, Rachel, and Harry. His hobbies include sailing and golf.
