Richard Moore
Author,Founder, Speaker & Force for Good

“Whether you believe it or not, you are my hero, and a wonderful son of humanity.” These are the words of the Dalai Lama when he met Richard Moore at the 10th Anniversary of Richard’s charity, Children in Crossfire. Richard’s story is an example of where triumph overcomes tragedy. As a young boy Richard had a tragic experience which resulted in his life changing forever. However, he did not allow this experience to hold him back and has gone on to live an inspiring and fruitful life. He has received over a dozen awards, across 3 continents, for his charity, peace and reconciliation work. In the 25th year of the Good Friday Agreement it is fitting that we hear from a Northern Irishman who has done so much to help young people affected by conflict and poverty around the world. Reflecting on his journey, Richard will offer his insights on vision, perspective and opportunity.

Cathriona Hallahan

Cathriona’s leadership journey is one of the most remarkable in Irish business. Cathriona started work straight from school and joined Microsoft as an accounts clerk in 1986 – she was employee number 24 and progressed through the company to become Managing Director of Microsoft Ireland in 2012. During her time as MD, she headed up a team of 2,400 and oversaw the opening of the €134m Microsoft campus in Leopardstown. Incredibly, Cathriona achieved all of this despite being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 32. Her contribution to Irish business has been recognised through a host of awards most recently an honorary doctorate from UCD.

Well done on a fantastic Summit event. I must say I really enjoyed this one as one of the best I have been to. I think everyone’s mindset after the past few years meant we were ready for it and certainly inspired by all of the speakers (there were lots of tears too!).
